Rocking & Rolling in 2015 - It was bigger and better than ever!

Well, yet again, we know how to
throw a party in Gretton! The sixth annual Gretton Music Festival
- which took place over the August Bank Holiday weekend - was a huge success,
with packed-out venues and sold-out gigs every night.
The headlining Rock 'n' Roll With Laughter fundraising show raised almost £2000 for The Travers Foundation, a local charity which helps 13 to 30 year olds living in Northamptonshire, Rutland or Leicestershire improve their skills in sports, the creative arts and the performing arts.
The music festival offered a varied programme with something for everyone, and artistes performing included Purple Light District, Fabulous French, Sweet Molly, Frettlyst, Tatcho Drom, and Rocky Roots.

The Corby Radio Bus was at Gretton Recreation Ground on Saturday, presenting young local singing talent from noon, and then followed by slightly older, but still very talented, performers later in the afternoon singing classics from The Rolling Stones, The Who and Frank Sinatra.
The open mic event at The Hatton Arms saw new outfit The Top Banana Band make an outstanding and memorable Gretton debut, and a host of other acts also grabbed the mic and entertained the crowd on what was a very damp Bank Holiday Monday!
The music festival took place at seven venues throughout the village, including a Puccini and Prosecco opera appreciation session at the home of impresario Mr Martin McEvoy.
Northamptonshire's biggest community-based music festival's overall sponsor was Seaton's Solicitors. The organizers would like to thank everyone who helped to make it the best festival yet - we're looking forward to next year's already!
