Soprano Naomi Harvey heads the line-up of soloists for this year's Gala Concert "The Best of British" Sunday 26th August at St James Church, Gretton.
The concert is devised and narrated by Martin McEvoy who said "Naomi sang in our very first Opera concert in Gretton. She is a soloist with Welsh National Opera and last year she made her début at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden where she will return for the 2014 season."
Martin is also delighted to announce that international baritone Eddie Wade, pictured left, will be joining the line-up. Eddie is a regular soloist at The Royal Opera House Covent Garden where he has just appeared in La Traviata with one of the World's leading sopranos Renee Fleming.
Martin added, "Our tenor, Geraint Dodd, is a great favourite throughout Wales and has recently sung the role of Cavarodosi in Tosca for Welsh National Opera. Other roles include Pinkerton in Madam Butterfly, Rodolpho in La Boheme, The Duke in Rigoletto and Don Jose in Carmen."
Finally the cast will be completed by Mezzo Soprano Louise Crane. Louise will be providing some of the lighter repertoire during the evening.
