Rock 'n' Roll With Laughter

Picture
Venue - Gretton Village Hall

Date - Sunday 30th August

Time - 7.30pm, with a licensed bar until 11pm

Description - If you like a bit of comedy with your music or vice versa then head the ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll with Laughter’ show is guaranteed to be a good night out.

What’s not to like?  Steve Ashcroft and Martin Lewis provide the tunes ranging from The Beatles, The Searchers and The Drifters though to Rod Stewart, Carole King, Neil Diamond and John Denver.

With over 30 years of experience in the music industry, they’ve toured with the likes of Roy Wood (of Wizzard fame) and Hot Chocolate.

The comedy comes courtesy of Doug Parker.  He’s a well-known Midlands stand-up comic, and proof that you don’t have to be ‘blue’ to be funny.  He’s worked as a warm up man on many top-rated ITV and BBC shows including ‘Parkinson’ and ‘Central Weekend’.

Tickets - £10, available from Gretton Post Office

All proceeds from this show will go to support The Travers Foundation, a Northamptonshire-based charity set up to help ambitious local 18-30 year olds improve proficiency in sport and the arts.
