After last year's highly successful event “ Puccini, Passion, Prosecco and Pizza” Martin McEvoy has devised another special operatic afternoon which looks at the life of Giuseppe Verdi, an innovator in the world of opera and late in his life a politician who helped bring about the unification of Italy.
You will see filmed excerpts from The Royal Opera House Covent Garden, The Metropolitan New York, La Scala Milan and other world famous houses. Scenes from La Traviata, Rigoletto, Aida & Don Carlos. Whether you are a seasoned opera goer or even if you don’t have a clue about opera Martin McEvoy brings a fresh and entertaining way to make this great art form accessible, understandable and available to everyone.
Admission - £10 to include wine, Italian bites and lots of passion.
